Support Service is a focused environment directed to academic society as senior undergraduate students or postgraduate students where they could be supervised in their disciplines by researchers, professionals and professors from around the globe.

  • Graduation Projects Service, is directed to undergraduate senior students to help them in their graduation projects.
  • Direct Study Support Service, is a service directed to students or those who are interested in a specific scientific subject who may face a difficult point in an topic far from their specialization to help them in deepening in a specific specialization.

Postgraduate Research Support Service, is directed to postgraduate students who may face a difficult topic related to their research during their M.Sc. or Ph.D. journey.

Direct Study Support Service Guideline

1.     What is Egypt Scholars Support Service?

Egypt Scholars Support Service is one of the projects affiliated to Egypt Scholars Organization which aims to provide both undergraduate students and postgraduate students with the experience of researchers, professionals and professors from around the globe.
In Egypt Scholars, we believe that this advising environment will reflect on students' knowledge and experience in addition to quality of the whole educational process.

2.     What is Direct Study Support Service?

It is a service directed to students or those who are interested in a specific scientific subject/field who may face a difficult topic far from their specialization by mentoring them in any of their needed academic courses to facilitate any problems could face them in their preparations for deepening in a specific specialization. Through the mentorship period, the mentor will enhance the student’s knowledge regarding the needed subject through interactive discussions.

3.     Admission and Enrollment

Before admission, please put into consideration that there will not be any kind of financial support by Egypt Scholars like doing experiments in lab, for example, as it is only online mentorship/support. Then you should fill in the application form provided by Egypt Scholars, which is concerned with registering in Support Service | Direct Study Support.

In addition, the team must have already chosen the Project Idea. The project’s supervisor in university should fill in the application form provided by Egypt Scholars, to qualify their students for next selection phase.

4.     Service Regulations

  • Your university supervisor must fill in the Mentor application form regarding the Graduation Project support. Once the mentor form has been received by Egypt Scholars Support Service, the main contact student will receive an email with a link where he/she can complete the student form to apply for the Graduation Support Service.
  • A connection with Support Service Team will then be provided.

All applicants will be evaluated on the basis of fulfilling our requirements according to clear answers on all questions’ parts in the application form and the availability of mentors in their required specializations.

5.     Service Organizational Structure 

First: Egypt Scholars Support Service will provide every accepted student with a supervision by a mentor who can be a professor, an academic researcher or an industry related researcher to enrich student with his/her research experience and thoughts regarding the needed subject.

Second: A Coordinator who is a volunteer in Egypt Scholars Support Service Team will arrange a schedule for the first meeting (Orientation Meeting) between the mentor and the student. After the first meeting, Adaptation Feedback form will be sent to you and your mentor to ensure that you are satisfied.

In addition, a regular feedback form will be sent regularly to you every week. In the end of the mentorship period, a final feedback form will be required to be filled, as well. Please note that these feedback forms are short to take less than a minute in filling and they are very important to improve the quality of your learning experience and to enhance our service.

6.     Service Communication Channels

Accepted students should contact with their advisors/mentors regularly through: Skype, Emails or other channels may mentor set with you.

Graduation Project Support Service Guideline

1. What is Egypt Scholars Support Service?

It is one of the projects affiliated to Egypt Scholars Organization which aims at providing both undergraduate students and postgraduate students with the experience of researchers, professionals and professors from around the globe.

2. What is Graduation Project Support Service?

It is a service directed to undergraduate senior students to help them in their graduation projects. The program offers a connection to a mentor of the same field in each support point they chose. The mentor will support the project members in their scientific specialty and provide guidance through project cycle.

3. Admission and Enrollment

Before admission, please put into consideration that there will not be any kind of financial support by Egypt Scholars like doing experiments in lab, for example, as it is only online mentorship/support. 5. Service Regulations

  • Any data submitted as a part of the registration process about the project, team members, university supervisor(s) and all data filled in the application must be correct. If it came to the attention at any time that any of the above stated data is incorrect, the team will be dropped out immediately.
  • Your project’s supervisor(s) in your university must be aware of and agree on the mentorship from Egypt Scholars Support Service.
  • Each team is allowed to register with only one project (one idea). It has to be registered as a graduation project (i.e. team can’t just register with any idea that is not its actual graduation project).
  • The team has to be a group of students (more than 2 members) from the same university with a graduation project registered in their university.
  • A team member should exist only in one team group (i.e. the same person cannot be a member in more than one team).
  • Egypt Scholars Support Service deals with the team as one entity, not as individuals.
  • Selected graduation projects must mention Egypt Scholars mentorship in any official participation.

6. Service Communication Channels

  • Teams can contact with their mentors through live interactive calls through: Skype, Email or other channel that mentor suggest.
  • Mentors can give online lectures or webinars for teams using: ClickMeetings or Webex.

7. Service Organizational Structure

  • Every graduation project team will be supervised by a mentor who could be a professor, academic researcher, industry related researcher or experienced professional to enrich the project with his/her experience and thoughts. The team should consult regularly with their mentor every certain period of time as agreed with the mentor.
  • Every graduation project  team will have a coordinator who a volunteer at Egypt Scholars and will work as a link between the team members and their mentors to organize all events and connections (if needed). The team should fill in an adaptation form after the first orientation meeting with the mentor and follow-up with Egypt Scholars by filling the weekly/biweekly check- in forms.

Through the mentorship period, the mentor may enhance the student’s knowledge and research experiences through several research activities, tasks and interactive discussions depending on student’s thesis/research topic.

  • Any scientific materials shared in the sessions or webinars are owned by Egypt Scholars Inc. and can't be shared without a permission from the mentor.

Mentors’ Guideline

1.     Support Service is divided into three tracks:

  • Graduation Projects Service, is directed to undergraduate senior students to help them in their graduation projects.
  • Direct Study Support Service, is a service directed to students or those who are interested in a specific scientific subject who may face a difficult point in an topic far from their specialization to help them in deepening in a specific specialization.
  • Postgraduate Research Support Service, is directed to postgraduate students who may face a difficult topic related to their research during their M.Sc. or Ph.D. journey.

Note: One mentor can join one or more tracks and supervise single or multiple mentees/students depending on his/her availability hours per week.

2.     Mentor’s Requirements

  • An academic Mentor should have a Master’s degree or higher and at least two scientific publications.
  • A professional Mentor should have a practical experience in his/her discipline for more than four years.
  • Good teaching skills, good communication skills, and good interaction with the students.
3.     Mentor’s Duties

3.1. General Duties

  • Enrich the mentees/students knowledge in both scientific  disciplines.
  • Be accessible during office hours for online communication (available 1-2 hours/week  for each mentee or group of students.)
  • Set up general mentorship regulations in collaboration with your mentees/students.
  • Collaborate with the coordinator (from Egypt Scholars Inc)  to facilitate you mission.
  • Fill in the required feedback forms:
    • Adaptation feedback form (after the first/orientation meeting with the mentees/students to confirm start supervise them). Time to fill: 50 seconds.
    • Check-in feedback forms (every two or three weeks) Time to fill: 30 seconds.
    • Final feedback form (at the end of the mentorship period) Time to fill: 2~5 Minutes.

Note:The Coordinator is a volunteer in Egypt Scholars Support Service Team.

3.2. Duties for Graduation Project Support Service

- Oversee the function of the project and guide the team to achieve its goals.

- Evaluate the project process and ideas and enrich the scientific learning environment.

3.3. Duties for  Direct Study Support Service

- Prepare helpful scientific materials which will be used in webinars.

- Deepen the understanding of the mentees about their scientific topic.

3.4. Duties for Postgraduate Research Support Service

- Elucidate some scientific difficulties students may face during the academic courses or thesis work.
