Graduation Project Support Service Guideline

A focused environment directed to academic society as senior undergraduate students , postgraduate students or science learner, where they could be supervised in their disciplines by researchers, professionals and professors from around the globe.

1. What is Egypt Scholars Support Service?

It is one of the projects affiliated to Egypt Scholars Organization which aims at providing both undergraduate students and postgraduate students with the experience of researchers, professionals and professors from around the globe.

2. What is Graduation Project Support Service?

It is a service directed to undergraduate senior students to help them in their graduation projects. The program offers a connection to a mentor of the same field in each support point they chose. The mentor will support the project members in their scientific specialty and provide guidance through project cycle.

3. Admission and Enrollment

Before admission, please put into consideration that there will not be any kind of financial support by Egypt Scholars like doing experiments in lab, for example, as it is only online mentorship/support. In addition, the team must have already chosen the Project Idea. The project’s supervisor in university should fill in the application form provided by Egypt Scholars, to qualify their students for next selection phase.

4. Selection Process

  • Your university supervisor must fill in the Mentor application form regarding the Graduation Project support. Once the mentor form has been received by Egypt Scholars Support Service, the main contact student will receive an email with a link where he/she can complete the student form to apply for the Graduation Support Service.
  • A connection with Support Service Team will then be provided.

All applicants will be evaluated on the basis of fulfilling our requirements according to clear answers on all questions’ parts in the application form and the availability of mentors in their required specializations.

5. Service Regulations

  • Any data submitted as a part of the registration process about the project, team members, university supervisor(s) and all data filled in the application must be correct. If it came to the attention at any time that any of the above stated data is incorrect, the team will be dropped out immediately.
  • Your project’s supervisor(s) in your university must be aware of and agree on the mentorship from Egypt Scholars Support Service.
  • Each team is allowed to register with only one project (one idea). It has to be registered as a graduation project (i.e. team can’t just register with any idea that is not its actual graduation project).
  • The team has to be a group of students (more than 2 members) from the same university with a graduation project registered in their university.
  • A team member should exist only in one team group (i.e. the same person cannot be a member in more than one team).
  • Egypt Scholars Support Service deals with the team as one entity, not as individuals.
  • Selected graduation projects must mention Egypt Scholars mentorship in any official participation.

6. Service Communication Channels

  • Teams can contact with their mentors through live interactive calls through: Skype, Email or other channel that mentor suggest.
  • Mentors can give online lectures or webinars for teams using: ClickMeetings or Webex.

7. Service Organizational Structure

  • Every graduation project team will be supervised by a mentor who could be a professor, academic researcher, industry related researcher or experienced professional to enrich the project with his/her experience and thoughts. The team should consult regularly with their mentor every certain period of time as agreed with the mentor.
  • Every graduation project  team will have a coordinator who a volunteer at Egypt Scholars and will work as a link between the team members and their mentors to organize all events and connections (if needed). The team should fill in an adaptation form after the first orientation meeting with the mentor and follow-up with Egypt Scholars by filling the weekly/biweekly check- in forms.
